Python pskr_mqtt_listen.py:
- Guard against malformed CONNACK/SUBACK/PUBLISH packets
- Fix _s() truthiness: is not None instead of if v (zero SNR was lost)
- EINTR-safe select loop, OOB data handling, VBInt overflow check
- Proper socket cleanup with try/finally + DISCONNECT on shutdown

Elixir:
- Log dropped spot errors in aggregator (was silently discarded)
- Wire retain_scores_window into NotifyListener chain completion
- Recurse sweep_tmp_dir into band/weather_scalars subdirectories
- Rescue recalibrator.run/0 to write failed status row on crash

- Fix unused variables, stale comments, missing get_path!/1

Rust:
- Graceful JoinError handling in fetcher/hrdps_fetcher (no more panics)
- round_to_5min returns Option (leap-second safe)
- Acquire/Release ordering on shutdown flags (was Relaxed)
- Parameterized NOTIFY in db.rs, defensive scalar sweep, NaN guard
- OsString::push for tmp naming, clippy fixes

fix: 9 bugs across tests and production code
- Fix Module.safe_concat -> Module.concat in tests with dynamic process names
(safe_concat calls binary_to_existing_atom, but test names are newly generated)
- Fix PSKR AggregatorTest sandbox ownership by switching to async: false
- Fix MapLiveTest assert_patch: regex unsupported in LiveView 1.2, use string match
- Fix WeatherMapLiveTest toggle_grid: assert on checked attribute, not data-grid
- Fix BeaconLive.Index leaking unapproved beacons: wire data_provider to approved_beacons_query
- Fix ContactLive.Index leaking private contacts: wire data_provider with visibility filter
- Fix RecalibratorTest: train() expects factor vectors, not {vector, datetime, band} tuples
- Fix toggle_sort: compare current_field to new_field, not current_order
- Fix internal_network?: handle both atom and string session keys from Plug sessions

Test results: 3979/4001 -> 3997/4001 (18 previously-failing tests now pass)

feat(contacts): record + show flagger attribution; admin delete
Two related changes to the contact detail page:

1. The "Flagged invalid" badge was wrapping to two lines on
narrow widths because the daisyUI badge has no explicit
no-wrap class. Add `whitespace-nowrap`, drop the redundant
capitalization on "Invalid", and append the flagger's
callsign so the badge reads "Flagged invalid by W5XYZ".
   Hover tooltip carries the timestamp.

2. New `flagged_by_user_id` + `flagged_at` columns on contacts.
`Radio.toggle_flagged_invalid!/2` now takes the admin User
doing the flagging; on unflag it clears both fields so a
subsequent re-flag gets a fresh attribution and the badge
   never shows a stale flagger.

3. `Radio.delete_contact!/1` + a Delete button next to Flag.
Admin-only, gated in both the event handler and the template.
   Uses LV's `data-confirm` for the destructive-action prompt.
All FK references to `contacts` already declare
   `on_delete: :delete_all` (terrain_profiles, contact_edits,
   contact_common_volume_radar) so a single Repo.delete!
   cascades cleanly.

fix(contact): align Mechanism panel with Propagation Analysis ducts
The radar-only RainScatterClassifier sees ducting only when HRRR's
pressure-level M-profile flagged it. Sounding-detected and gradient-
inferred ducts surface in elevation_profile.ducts via the analysis
pipeline — promote those into :tropo_duct so the Mechanism badge
agrees with the narrative.

test: push line coverage from 71.7% → 78.67%
Adds ~600 new test cases (2013 → 2613 tests; 170 properties; 0
failures) across 12 new test files plus expansions of eight existing
files. Big lifts per module:

  ContactLive.Mechanism 33 → 100%
  MetricsPlug 54 → ~100%
  Microwaveprop.Release 15.8 → 70%+
  Telemetry 38 → 76%
  HrrrNativeGridWorker 27.7 → 76%
  ContactLive.Show 34 → 48% (handler + render branches)
  Admin.ContactEditLive 49.7 → 70%+
  GefsFetchWorker 35.8 → ~55%
  IonosphereFetchWorker 56.3 → 75%
  PathLive 58.9 → 67%
  WeatherMapLive 66.9 → 80.2%
  RoverLive 0 → 70.3%
  ContactMapLive 59.2 → 89.8%
  ContactMapController 0 → 100%
Mix tasks (Rust.Golden, Notebook, Backtest, HrrrBackfill,
    HrrrClimatology, HrrrNativeBackfill, NexradBackfill,
    RadarBackfill, ImportContestLogs, PropagationGrid,
    ResetEnrichment, Hrrr.PurgeGridPoints) 0 → ~60-100%

Two incidental fixes made while adding tests:

- ContactLive.Show.handle_event("toggle_flag", ...) was passing
  socket.assigns.current_scope to admin?/1 instead of socket.assigns,
so admins never matched the pattern and every toggle ran the
"Admins only." flash branch. Flag now toggles for admins again.

- Commercial.PollWorker.fetch_weather/1 promoted from private to
@doc'd public so the IEM-fetch + ASOS-upsert path can be tested
directly without driving perform/1 through live SNMP (which was
timing out for ~50 s per test in the earlier attempt).

Stable property-test additions cover the dewpoint-from-RH monotonicity,
nearest_run/1 idempotence, and the ionosphere station envelope.

fix(map): dedupe duplicated forecast-timeline chips + extract Mechanism helpers
The main /map timeline was rendering each forecast hour twice
('Now 22:00' + '0h 22:00', '+1h 23:00' + '+1h 23:00', …).

Root cause: during the rolling `.ntms` → `.prop` rename window,
both extensions live on NFS for the same valid_time. `list_score_files`
matches either, so `list_valid_times_raw` mapped 2 files → 2 DateTimes
with no dedupe. Propagation.available_valid_times inherited the dup,
push_timeline pushed it to the JS hook, renderTimeline drew one chip
per entry — hence the visible duplicate.

Fix: `Enum.uniq` before the sort. Regression test writes a `.prop`
file, copies it as the same valid_time's `.ntms` legacy twin, and
asserts list_valid_times returns a single DateTime.

Also land a small refactor that was queued behind this: move the three
pure mechanism display helpers (label/1, badge_class/1, explainer/1)
out of the 2500-line contact_live/show.ex into a new
MicrowavepropWeb.ContactLive.Mechanism module. No behavior change — just
shrinks the LiveView and gives the display mapping a testable home.

docs/tests: moduledocs on 18 LiveViews, MapLive event coverage, Rust pipeline roundtrip
- Add one-line moduledocs to 18 LiveViews that were carrying
@moduledoc false. Each line names the route and summarizes what
the page does so a future reader knows where to look before
  opening the file.
- Add MapLive handle_event tests for toggle_radar, select_time /
  set_selected_time, point_detail, map_bounds, retry_initial_scores.
Assertions focus on socket-state transitions and "didn't crash"
rather than raw HTML — map_bounds in particular has no visible
render-side effect (it push_events the new scores to the JS hook).
- Rust pipeline: integration-shaped test that hand-builds a 2-cell
  surface + pressure grid, runs merge → cell_to_conditions →
  precompute_band_invariants → composite_score_with → write_atomic
→ decode, asserting header + body length round-trip. Closes the
'pipeline's happy path is only covered by unit tests' gap.

fix(dialyzer): clear 125+ warnings under strict flags
Enabled :error_handling, :unknown, :unmatched_returns, :extra_return,
:missing_return in an earlier commit and landed a 129-warning baseline.
Four parallel agents each fixed a directory slice:

- Core contexts (29): Radio, Release, Weather, Beacons, Cache,
  Backtest.Features, Terrain.Srtm, Ionosphere.GiroClient,
  Propagation.RunTiming, Accounts.Scope, RepoListener. Fixes were
  (a) prefix side-effect calls (Task.start, Phoenix.PubSub,
  Logger, :ets.new) with _ = ; (b) tighten/widen specs that didn't
  match actual returns; (c) add missing @type t declarations;
  (d) drop dead parse_int(nil) clause.

- Propagation + weather subdirs (15): FreshnessMonitor, NotifyListener,
  ScoreCache, ScoreCacheReconciler, Weather.FrontalAnalysis,
  Weather.Grib2.Extractor, Weather.Grib2.Wgrib2, GridCache,
HrrrPointEnqueuer, NexradCache. Same patterns — mostly _ = on
PubSub / :ets / Repo.insert_all; widened two specs (float ->
number) where integer returns were reachable.

- Workers (35): BackfillEnqueue, CanadianSoundingFetch,
  ContactImport, ContactWeatherEnqueue, GefsFetch, IemreFetch,
  NarrFetch, SolarIndex, TerrainProfile, WeatherFetch. Prefixed
  Repo.update_all / Radio.set_enrichment_status! / Weather.upsert_*
side-effect calls. Fixed one :pattern_match in
  CanadianSoundingFetch.most_recent_sounding_time/1 where a
tautological cond guard generated unreachable code.

- Web + Mix tasks + lib_ml (46 of 50): controllers, LiveViews,
UserAuth, and 11 mix tasks. Same prefix strategy. 4 remaining
warnings originate in LiveTable.LiveResource dep macro expansion
and can't be fixed without forking the dep — added .dialyzer_ignore.exs
to suppress just those specific file:line pairs.

Also wired ignore_warnings in mix.exs dialyzer config.

mix dialyzer --format short | grep ^lib/ | wc -l -> 0
mix test: 2163 tests, 3 pre-existing flakes, 0 regressions.

fix(contact-detail): re-enqueue HRRR on every page view when profile missing
The 'Fetching HRRR atmospheric data' spinner stayed up forever for
contacts stuck in :queued without a matching hrrr_fetch_tasks row.
Ways a contact lands in that state:

  - HrrrPointEnqueuer.enqueue/1 raises, the rescue swallows the error
and returns {:ok, 0}, but the caller still marked the contact
:queued before it noticed the failure.
  - Rust worker marks a (valid_time) task :done with a points array
that never included this contact's point, so no profile is ever
    written for it.
  - hrrr_fetch_tasks row is cleaned up by retention before the contact
    page loads.

Drop the hrrr_status != :queued short-circuit and always call the
enqueuer when the profile is nil. The ON CONFLICT clause in
HrrrPointEnqueuer.enqueue/1 unions points into the existing row,
resets :done/:failed rows back to :queued with attempt=0, and no-ops
when the point is already present — so re-entering on every page view
is cheap and self-healing.

feat(hrrr): route per-QSO enrichment through hrrr_fetch_tasks (Stream C Elixir)
Phase 3 Stream C Elixir-side: HrrrFetchWorker is deleted; per-QSO HRRR
enrichment now writes to the new hrrr_fetch_tasks table for the Rust
hrrr-point-worker to drain.

Table shape:
- one row per valid_time (primary key) with a JSONB array of
  {lat, lon} points
- UPSERT on conflict: array-union of points, status flips back to
queued if previously done/failed so a backfill re-scan naturally
  refills the queue for Rust

Elixir changes:
- new migration 20260419231502_create_hrrr_fetch_tasks
- new Microwaveprop.Weather.HrrrPointEnqueuer with enqueue/1 and
  enqueue_for_contacts/1. Pre-2014 contacts (NARR's territory)
are skipped here so hrrr_status can pin them to :unavailable.
- ContactWeatherEnqueueWorker: build_hrrr_jobs/1 removed; single-
contact path and batch perform/1 both route through
  HrrrPointEnqueuer.enqueue_for_contacts/1. A placeholder jobs-list
is kept just to feed mark_hrrr_status!.
- contact_live/show.ex retry button enqueues via the same path.
- :hrrr queue removed from dev/config/runtime.exs
- HrrrFetchWorker module + test deleted

BackfillEnqueueWorker scans continue to flow through
ContactWeatherEnqueueWorker.enqueue_for_contact (unchanged), so the
30-min reconcile refills hrrr_fetch_tasks automatically.

4 new tests cover the routing, pre-2014 skip, UPSERT-union, and
status-reset-on-reschedule behaviour. Rust-side hrrr-point-worker
binary + k8s deployment land in the next commits.

feat(contacts): private flag with scope-aware visibility
Contacts can be marked private at submit time (single form, CSV
import, ADIF import) and edit time. Private contacts are hidden
from the public map, the public /u/callsign profile, and the
browse table for anonymous and non-owning viewers. The original
submitter and admins see them inline on the browse table with a
"Yes" badge, and the detail page shows a lock icon. Non-authorized
viewers get a 404 on the detail page.

be62e272e9
feat(contacts): widen sounding search, backfill on demand
Contact detail now searches for soundings in progressively wider radii
(150 → 300 → 600 → 1000 km) before declaring "No soundings found".

When even 1000 km turns up nothing, enqueue WeatherFetchWorker RAOB
jobs for every station at the widest non-empty radius. The worker
passes the contact_id through so it can PubSub back to
contact_enrichment:<id> as each sounding lands, and the LiveView
rehydrates without a refresh.

Also adds Weather.soundings_with_widening_radius/1 and
ContactWeatherEnqueueWorker.enqueue_raob_fetch_with_widening/1 so the
same logic can be reused from other callers.

feat(format): miles-primary distance formatting sitewide
Add Microwaveprop.Format.distance_km/1 and a matching formatDistanceKm
helper for the JS side. Both emit "X mi (Y km)" with one decimal under
10 mi and whole numbers above.

Replace the ad-hoc format_dist/format_km_mi helpers with the shared
formatter and update every user-facing distance render: contact
detail, contacts index column, user profile contact/involving tables,
path finder summary + sounding list, contacts map line popups, beacon
coverage tooltip, and propagation map range estimate + rain scatter
cell popup.

ca07c0288d
feat(contacts): antenna height fields feed terrain analysis
Add optional height1_ft/height2_ft to contact schema, submit form, and
edit form (direct + suggest-edit paths). Heights flow through to the
elevation-profile terrain analysis so clearance and diffraction are
computed from the actual antenna height instead of a 10-ft default.
Editing heights resets terrain_status and re-enqueues
TerrainProfileWorker so the stored path analysis picks up the new
geometry.

Also fix mark_likely_duct/3: the pattern was grabbing the element
instead of the index, so no duct ever got flagged as the likely
propagation path even when extract_ducts returned a valid layer.

fix(contact): stop loading-flash on already-enriched contacts
Two related fixes:

- Drop the global contact_enrichment:{hrrr,weather,solar} subscriptions.
These topics fire for every QSO's enrichment completion, and the
handlers blindly re-queried data for the currently-displayed contact,
causing spurious re-renders whenever any enrichment worker finished
anywhere in the system. The per-contact terrain subscription stays —
  that one is correctly scoped.

- Only add a slot to `hydration_pending` when the contact's status
column says the work is genuinely in flight (:queued or :processing).
Previously every connected mount flashed spinners over all eight
enrichment sections, even for contacts whose data was already cached
and about to return instantly from the async task.

Also drop the Donate-to-NTMS footer link.

5488744f44
feat(contact): loading spinners, callsign-aware summaries, axis callsigns
Three improvements to the contact detail page:

* Track async hydration per source in `hydration_pending` so the
Terrain / Soundings / Atmospheric Profile sections render a loading
spinner while their task is in-flight instead of briefly flashing
"no data available" before the payload arrives.
* Propagation analysis summary now names the origin station by
callsign ("Path is terrain-obstructed at N mi from W5XD") instead
of the generic "station 1" placeholder.
* Elevation profile chart labels the 0-mi and max-mi ticks with the
matching callsign so it's obvious which end of the profile is
  which station.

feat(contacts): surface tropo duct count and suggest-edit hint
Propagation analysis panel now adds a "Tropo duct detected at N/M HRRR
samples along the path" line whenever any HRRR sample flags ducting,
even if the overall mechanism classification doesn't end up pointing at
the duct (e.g. short paths, clear-LoS contacts). Also rewords the map
caveat to invite users with better coordinates to file a suggested
edit — clickable when logged in, otherwise a login link.

5fd37a17fd
feat(propagation): per-band weight calibration from full-corpus correlation
Ran recalibrate_algo.py against the full local prop_dev (81,994 contacts,
18.6M HRRR rows) and derived per-band composite weights for the nine
bands with >=200 matched contacts. Moisture (dewpoint/PWAT/surface N)
is consistently beneficial through 5.76 GHz, reverses at 24 GHz; rain
scales sqrt(rain_k) not linearly so 24 GHz gets 0.215 rain weight
instead of the linear-ratio 0.95. 10 GHz stays as the reference band
(defaults); 47+ GHz inherits defaults (n<200).

- BandConfig.weights/1 returns per-band override or default fallback
- @band_configs carries :weights on 222/432/902/1296/2304/3400/5760/24G
- Recalibrator.compute_factors/3 + fit(band_mhz:) band-aware fitting
- Scorer + ContactLive.Show pass band_config to weights/1
- algo.md Part 2d documents the 2026-04-18 analysis + derivation rule
- scripts/derive_band_weights.py turns correlations into weight maps
- report preserved at docs/algo-reports/2026-04-18-recalibration.md

33f5d4edbe
feat(rainscatter): classify QSO propagation mechanism from common-volume radar
Adds a per-contact enrichment pipeline that determines whether a QSO was
most likely carried by rain scatter, tropospheric ducting, or ordinary
troposcatter — using IEM n0q composite reflectivity sampled inside the
lens-shaped intersection of 400 km-radius disks around each endpoint.

Pieces:
  * Microwaveprop.Propagation.CommonVolume — lens geometry (haversine,
    in-CV test, bbox, area).
  * contact_common_volume_radar table (1:1 per contact) storing
aggregate dBZ stats inside the CV + radar_status column on contacts.
  * Microwaveprop.Workers.CommonVolumeRadarWorker — Oban :radar queue,
fetches the n0q frame at QSO time, iterates pixels inside the CV
bbox, aggregates rain/heavy/core-pixel counts, max/mean dBZ, and
    coverage percentage.
  * Microwaveprop.Propagation.RainScatterClassifier — rule-based mapper
from (band, distance, radar stats, duct flags) to one of
    :likely_rainscatter | :rainscatter_possible | :tropo_duct |
    :troposcatter | :unknown.
  * ContactWeatherEnqueueWorker learns a :radar enrichment type and
enqueues the CV worker on contact submission; pre-2014 contacts
(outside IEM n0q coverage) are pinned to :unavailable.
  * `mix radar_backfill` bulk-enqueues historical contacts with
    --year / --limit / --dry-run.
  * Contact detail page renders a mechanism badge with supporting
stats (common-volume area, max dBZ, heavy-rain pixel count,
    coverage %).

feat(contact-detail): use 10 GHz threshold for MHz/GHz band display
Anything below 10 GHz now renders in MHz so 2304/3456/5760 etc. match
amateur microwave convention. 10 GHz and above still render in GHz.
2026-04-17 12:08:38 -05:00
1a8ca44de3
feat(contact-detail): render band in MHz below 1 GHz, GHz above
The detail page was hard-coding GHz formatting, so 50/144/222/432/902
rendered as 0.1/0.4/0.9 GHz instead of the MHz labels every amateur
operator actually uses. Switch to MHz when band < 1000, keep GHz for
microwave bands.

Also surface band and mode in the header subtitle so the key QSO
metadata is visible before SRTM/terrain enrichment completes (the
elevation-profile block that previously rendered them is gated on
that enrichment).

refactor: normalize pos1/pos2 JSONB key to 'lon' everywhere
57,186 prod contacts stored pos1/pos2 with 'lng'; 1,133 used 'lon'.
Every Elixir caller carried a `pos["lon"] || pos["lng"]` fallback
— which just caused a SQL widget to silently miscount 98% of contacts
(count_narr_done used `pos1->>'lon'` directly, no fallback, so every
lng-keyed row returned NULL and failed the coverage check).

- Migration rewrites every pos1/pos2 JSONB in place, renaming 'lng' to
  'lon' and dropping 'lng'.
- Removes all 20+ `|| pos["lng"]` fallbacks across lib/, workers,
scorer, weather, radio.ex, contact show view, and recalibrator.
- lib_ml/propagation_analyze.ex SQL now reads pos1->>'lon' directly
(was reading 'lng' only, which would have broken after migration).
- priv/repo/import_contacts.exs one-time seed script now emits 'lon'
with string keys, matching production shape.
- Test fixtures in 4 test files normalized to 'lon'.
- Two lng-characterization tests deleted — nonsensical post-normalize.
- Updated notebook + old import_weather script to match.
- JS hook contact_map_hook.ts TypeScript type narrowed to 'lon'.

NarrClient.in_coverage?/1 + callsite guards (1979 → 2014-10-02)
Post-2014 contacts with hrrr_status=:unavailable were being dispatched to
NARR, which 404s because NCEI's archive ends 2014-10-02. 14K of the 14.3K
candidates in prod are post-2014 — these are HRRR's responsibility.

- NarrClient.in_coverage?/1 returns true only inside 1979-01-01 → 2014-10-02
- narr_jobs_for_contact and maybe_enqueue_narr (contact_live) bail out of
  coverage returning []
- BackfillEnqueueWorker.type_filter scopes :narr to qso_timestamp <
coverage_end so the cron doesn't keep picking post-2014 candidates

Rename ERA5 → NARR across the codebase
- Schema: Era5Profile → NarrProfile; table renamed via migration
rename_era5_profiles_to_narr_profiles (ALTER TABLE + rename indexes,
atomic and instant, no row rewrite)
- Weather helpers: find_nearest_era5/era5_for_contact/era5_profiles_for_path
  → find_nearest_narr/narr_for_contact/narr_profiles_for_path
- BackfillEnqueueWorker: :era5 → :narr type (virtual, no narr_status column);
  reconcile_stale_queued_to_unavailable and status_priority_order now skip
virtual types via @virtual_types. Fixes the prod crash where the cron tried
  to update a non-existent era5_status column.
- ContactWeatherEnqueueWorker: build_era5_jobs → build_narr_jobs,
  era5_jobs_for_contact → narr_jobs_for_contact
- ContactLive: @era5 → @narr, maybe_enqueue_era5 → maybe_enqueue_narr;
  UI label "ERA5 (0.25°)" → "NARR (32 km)"
- Cron (runtime.exs): args types list now "narr" instead of "era5"
- /status: progress row, status-by-type card, totals.narr_profiles, and
  table-count lookup all target narr_profiles
- Drop obsolete Era5CdsJob schema + era5_cds_jobs table (inspection
artifact from the retired CDS pipeline; 34 orphan rows in prod)
- Misc docstring/comment cleanups (skew_t, about, wgrib2, propagation_train)

Includes a regression test for the virtual-type crash.

Drop dead Era5*/CDS code paths
After the NARR backfill landed, nothing reachable from the app calls
any of these modules. Net removal: ~2700 lines.

Deleted:
- Microwaveprop.Workers.{Era5Fetch,Era5Submit,Era5Poll,Era5MonthBatch}Worker
- Microwaveprop.Weather.{Era5BatchClient,Era5Client}
- Mix.Tasks.Era5Backfill (superseded by BackfillEnqueueWorker cron)
- Matching test files (~1100 LOC of test)
- era5/era5_submit/era5_poll/era5_batch queue blocks from runtime.exs
- era5_req_options Req.Test stub config from test.exs

Kept (actively used or intentionally preserved):
- Era5Profile schema (the era5_profiles table is the NARR target)
- Era5CdsJob schema + its test (inspection handle on the era5_cds_jobs
table, which retains rows from the failed CDS runs)
- :era5 type key in ContactWeatherEnqueueWorker / BackfillEnqueueWorker
(the symbol still means "historical backfill", just routed to NARR now)

Swapped the one remaining live Era5FetchWorker call site in
contact_live/show.ex's maybe_enqueue_era5 path to NarrFetchWorker
(with NarrClient.snap_to_analysis_hour for the 3-hourly slot).

Test suite: 1513 tests, 0 failures (-50 from the deleted era5 test
files). No compile warnings. Credo clean.

Surface HRRR weather details on /path
Adds an Atmospheric Profile section to the link calculator that shows
the HRRR data actually feeding the prediction: valid/run time, a
per-point table (src/mid/dst) with surface temp, dewpoint, pressure,
HPBL, PWAT, surface refractivity and dN/dh, plus a skew-T log-P chart
for the midpoint vertical profile.

Pulls the skew-T chart function out of contact_live into a shared
component so both LiveViews can render it without duplication.

Extend skew-T plot to cover the full troposphere
Historical contacts showed a skew-T log-P diagram that stopped at 700 mb
because HrrrClient and Era5Client only fetched pressure-level data down
to the top of the boundary layer. The chart canvas already ran up to
100 mb, so the trace clipped mid-atmosphere.

Two complementary fixes:

1. Extend @pressure_levels in HrrrClient and Era5Client with
   650/600/550/500/450/400/350/300/250/200/150/100 mb so new fetches
cover the full troposphere + lower stratosphere.

2. Prefer the native hybrid-sigma profile for the contact-detail
skew-T when one has been backfilled for the contact's hour. The
native profile already stores all 50 hybrid levels up to ~19 km,
so historical contacts covered by the native backfill get a full
   trace without re-hitting S3. A new HrrrNativeProfile.to_skew_t_profile/1
   converts the parallel arrays into the %{"pres","tmpc","dwpc","hght"}
list shape the renderer expects, deriving dewpoint from SPFH via the
   Magnus inverse. Weather.find_nearest_native_profile/3 mirrors
   find_nearest_hrrr/3 for the lookup.

Stop HRRR badge from wrapping mid-phrase on the contact page
The atmospheric profile header was a single-line flex row with no
wrap, so on narrower viewports the HRRR (3 km) badge and the unit
suffixes were breaking mid-phrase — the badge showed "HRRR (3 /
km)" with borders crossing through the text. Add flex-wrap plus
whitespace-nowrap on each cell so the whole row wraps cleanly
onto a second line instead of shrinking each cell vertically.

Add skew-T log-P diagram to the contact detail page
Render the HRRR pressure-level profile as a full skew-T log-P
diagram on the contact detail page: skewed isotherms, isobars,
dry adiabats, saturation mixing ratio lines, plus the T and Td
traces. Math lives in MicrowavepropWeb.SkewT (Magnus formula,
dry adiabat potential temperature, log-P projection) and is
exercised by a dedicated test module. The atmospheric profile
section now expands by default so the chart is visible without
an extra click.

Show ERA5 fallback on contact detail, fix status page ERA5 progress
Contact detail page now renders an atmospheric profile section backed by
HRRR when available and ERA5 (reanalysis) otherwise, labeled with the
data source. When both sources are missing and HRRR is known-unavailable
(pre-2014 contacts), the Era5FetchWorker is enqueued so the month-tile
backfill gets triggered from a user visit.

Status page ERA5 progress previously computed "complete" as
(total_contacts - hrrr_unavailable_contacts), which treated every contact
with any HRRR status as ERA5-complete — inflating the bar to 76% while
era5_profiles had 0 rows. Replaced with a per-candidate EXISTS query
against era5_profiles using the same 0.15°/30-min tolerance
Weather.find_nearest_era5/3 uses at lookup time.

Contact detail link to open in Path Calculator
Adds an "Open in Path Calculator" action to the contact detail
header. The link navigates to /path with source/destination prefilled
(preferring Maidenhead grids over station callsigns, since grids
are exact and callsigns go through a QRZ + geocoder round-trip)
and the contact's band selected. PathLive's handle_params already
auto-runs the calculation when source + destination are present,
so the user lands straight on the computed path ready to tweak
TX power, antenna heights, and gains.

Assume 10 ft AGL antennas on contact detail path analysis
TerrainAnalysis.analyse was being called with default 0 m antenna
heights on both ends of a QSO's path, which makes the knife-edge
diffraction math pretend the radios are sitting directly on the
terrain surface. Pass 3.048 m (10 ft) for both ant_ht_a and ant_ht_b,
and shift the forward/reverse elevation angles to match. This is
only a display assumption on /contacts/:id — terrain worker paths
computed elsewhere are unaffected.

Force 24h timestamps and let logged-in owners edit their contacts directly
Submit and contact-detail forms now use a plain text input for the QSO
timestamp with a "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM" placeholder and regex pattern. The
native datetime-local input ignores lang="en-GB" on macOS/iOS when the
system clock is 12-hour, so it was rendering AM/PM against the user's
wishes. Ecto's :utc_datetime cast already accepts this format (verified
space+seconds, T+seconds, and both with and without seconds/Z).

Contact edit workflow grows a third branch: admins still apply directly,
non-owners still go through the admin review queue, and now logged-in
owners of a contact (user_id == current_user.id) can apply edits
directly too. New helpers Radio.owner?/2 and Radio.apply_owner_edit/3
reuse the existing normalize + diff + apply_edit_to_contact path so the
grid-change → enrichment re-enqueue pipeline kicks in automatically.
Anonymous contacts (user_id nil) and other users' contacts both return
{:error, :not_owner}.

Nine new tests cover owner?/2 and apply_owner_edit/3 including the
no-changes, wrong-user, and anonymous-contact paths.

Nudge HRRR scores with live ASOS obs between runs
Adds Microwaveprop.Propagation.AsosNudge: a pure IDW bias-field module
that takes ASOS observations + HRRR profiles and returns re-scored grid
rows for every cell within 250km of a reporting station. Upper-air
fields (min_refractivity_gradient, pwat_mm, hpbl_m, profile, duct
metadata) pass through unchanged so HRRR's signal isn't clobbered.

The old AsosAdjustmentWorker was unwired and buggy — nil'd out ~22% of
the scoring weight and wrote orphan timestamps. Replaced with a slim
worker that queries the latest HRRR valid_time, fetches live ASOS
currents, calls AsosNudge.compute/3, and upserts onto
(lat, lon, valid_time, band_mhz) so nudged values overwrite the HRRR
hour cleanly instead of polluting available_valid_times. After each
upsert it warms ScoreCache and broadcasts propagation:updated so live
/map clients refresh.

Cron hooked up every 10 minutes in config.exs and dev.exs. Also cleaned
up the stale "dev has propagation disabled" note in CLAUDE.md.

13 new AsosNudge unit tests cover: residual computation (co-located,
out-of-grid, nil fields), IDW weighting (single station, far station,
two equidistant stations, nil component handling), upper-air
preservation, and the compute/3 entry point's shape and radius filter.

Drive-by Styler formatting touched a handful of unrelated files from
`mix format`.

7ed429364a Stream contact detail sections in as each enrichment loads
The contact detail page used to gather every enrichment source in one
parallel_hydrate/2 bundle and await all five tasks before updating any
assigns, so users watched the whole right-hand column flash in at the
speed of the slowest query (usually hrrr_profiles_for_path against a
42M-row table).

Each source now runs in its own start_async task: :weather, :solar,
:hrrr_path, :terrain, :iemre. Matching handle_async/3 clauses assign
the slot and call refresh_computed/1, which rebuilds elevation_profile
+ propagation_analysis + data_sources from whatever's currently in
assigns. Sections appear independently as their data arrives, and the
existing PubSub handlers (:hrrr_ready, :weather_ready, :terrain_ready,
:solar_ready) still pick up later backfill completions the same way
they did before.

578b4ede86 Serve /contacts/map payload via HTTP endpoint, parallel hydrate
- Add ContactMapController serving /api/contacts/map with pre-gzipped
JSON from Microwaveprop.Cache. Browsers handle Content-Encoding: gzip
natively; payload drops from 5.7 MB raw to 1.5 MB on the wire (73%).
Cache TTL 10 min, invalidated on contact insert alongside the other
  contact-map cache keys.
- Move contact map payload out of the LiveView's initial HTML entirely.
Shell renders with the filter chrome (count + band list); the hook
fetches contacts from the HTTP endpoint in parallel with map init.
This also avoids Phoenix.Socket's 64 KB frame limit (push_event would
have required chunked transfer or a global frame size bump).
- Parallelize ContactLive.Show hydrate: five independent DB loads
(weather, solar, hrrr_path, terrain, iemre) now run concurrently via
  Task.async + Task.await_many. Total latency drops from sum(each) to
max(each), cutting contact show hydrate time roughly 5x.

253adaf89b Cache /weather grid, defer contact show mount, cache stats
- Add Weather.GridCache: ETS cache of derived HRRR grid rows keyed by
valid_time, cluster-synced via PubSub. Eagerly warmed from
PropagationGridWorker after each upsert so /weather map pan/zoom and
weather_point_detail hit zero DB on warm cache.
- Replace latest_weather_grid DB query path with cache-first lookup +
DB fallback. hrrr_profiles is 42M rows partitioned; pulling 3-10k
rows per viewport on every pan was the main cost.
- ContactLive.Show: defer the heavy enrichment loads (weather, solar,
HRRR, terrain, IEMRE, elevation profile, ITU-R propagation analysis,
data_sources) into a handle_info(:hydrate) that runs after the shell
renders. Initial mount now returns nil placeholders; template already
had :if guards for all of them. Shell-to-first-paint goes from
  ~500ms-2s down to ~20ms.
- Cache fetch_queue_counts for 5s in ContactLive.Show — oban_jobs group
by query was running on every contact page view.
- Backfill stats: wrap count_unprocessed, fetch_stats, fetch_db_stats
in Microwaveprop.Cache with 2-5s TTLs; bump refresh debounce from 1s
to 2s so bulk enrichment events don't thrash the DB.

dd13a5f2a5 Fix three security issues
1. Prevent user_id impersonation in contact submissions
   - Remove user_id from submission_changeset cast fields
   - Pass user_id as a separate server-side argument to create_contact/2
   - Client form params can no longer forge account-linked contacts

2. Restrict flag toggle to admins only
   - Add admin? guard to toggle_flag event handler
   - Hide flag button from non-admin users in template

3. Reset enrichment on timestamp edits
   - Add qso_timestamp to the fields that trigger enrichment reset
   - Prevents stale weather/HRRR/IEMRE data after time changes
