- Radio.group_reciprocals: replace O(n²) nested Enum.filter with O(n)
Enum.group_by using a hash key (sorted station pair + band + hour)
- contact_live/index.ex: cache monthly bars Repo.all(Contact) query
with 60s TTL
- ScoreCache.valid_times: replace :ets.select with :ets.foldl to
avoid intermediate list allocation
- Accounts.list_users: add limit(100) to unbounded query
- Accounts.backfill_missing_home_qth: batch individual Oban.insert
calls into single Oban.insert_all
The chart is a public-facing seasonal summary, not a personal
view, so private contacts should roll into the totals like any
other. Drop the visible_query scope from monthly_bars and query
Contact directly.
Aggregates contact counts by calendar month summed across every
year, rendered as an inline SVG bar chart above the table. Months
with no contacts render as a 0-height tick so the x-axis stays
continuous at 12 bars.
Respects the same scope visibility the table uses, so private
contacts a viewer can't see don't leak into the chart counts.
Each <rect> carries data-month / data-month-count for testability
and a <title> for hover.
- Add one-line moduledocs to 18 LiveViews that were carrying
@moduledoc false. Each line names the route and summarizes what
the page does so a future reader knows where to look before
opening the file.
- Add MapLive handle_event tests for toggle_radar, select_time /
set_selected_time, point_detail, map_bounds, retry_initial_scores.
Assertions focus on socket-state transitions and "didn't crash"
rather than raw HTML — map_bounds in particular has no visible
render-side effect (it push_events the new scores to the JS hook).
- Rust pipeline: integration-shaped test that hand-builds a 2-cell
surface + pressure grid, runs merge → cell_to_conditions →
precompute_band_invariants → composite_score_with → write_atomic
→ decode, asserting header + body length round-trip. Closes the
'pipeline's happy path is only covered by unit tests' gap.
Rework of d61fbd3's dialyzer suppression: the 4 warnings from
LiveTable.LiveResource's macro expansion are now fixed at the
root rather than hidden via .dialyzer_ignore.exs.
Changes:
- Delete .dialyzer_ignore.exs and remove ignore_warnings from
mix.exs. No more hidden suppressions.
- New MicrowavepropWeb.LiveTableResource shim that wraps
use LiveTable.LiveResource and overrides:
* maybe_subscribe/1 — explicit :ok = on Phoenix.PubSub.subscribe/2
(previously discarded, tripping :unmatched_return).
* handle_info/2 — explicit _ = on File.rm, Process.send_after.
Switch all 4 LiveTable-using LiveViews (contact_live/index,
beacon_live/index, admin/contact_edit_live, user_management_live/index)
to use MicrowavepropWeb.LiveTableResource instead.
- New priv/dep_patches/live_table-0.4.1.patch adds _ = in front of
LiveTable.LiveSelectHelpers.restore_live_select_from_params/2 in
the dep's macro-expanded handle_params/3. The call's return was
silently discarded, tripping the fourth warning per LiveView.
- New lib/mix/tasks/deps.patch.ex applies every
priv/dep_patches/*.patch to its target dep idempotently after
mix deps.get. Wired into the :setup alias + overridden
mix deps.get so the patch survives cache regeneration in CI.
- Other modified files in this commit are the spec-coverage
additions from the parallel agent pass (beacons.ex,
commercial.ex, propagation.ex, weather.ex, narr_client.ex,
run_timing.ex, 3 workers) — tighter specs for bounds, tuple
shapes, schema-typed params. Dialyzer remains at 0 after
the changes.
Upstream TODO: send a PR for the live_table `_ =` fix. Once
merged and released, drop the patch + mix task + bump the dep.
mix dialyzer --format short | grep ^lib/ | wc -l -> 0
mix test: 2165 tests, 2 pre-existing flakes (MapLive timestamp +
PropagationPrune ScoresFile), 0 regressions.
The `!` flag column was a tiny sliver that rarely fired in practice
and was pushing more useful columns offscreen on narrow layouts. The
underlying `flagged_invalid` field stays on the schema for the detail
page; only the index column goes.
Row-level privacy was already correct: private rows only render for
the owner and admins. The header column was still showing for every
viewer, leaving an always-empty slot for anyone without private
contacts of their own. Drop `:private` from the fields list unless
the scope can actually see at least one private row.
Contacts can be marked private at submit time (single form, CSV
import, ADIF import) and edit time. Private contacts are hidden
from the public map, the public /u/callsign profile, and the
browse table for anonymous and non-owning viewers. The original
submitter and admins see them inline on the browse table with a
"Yes" badge, and the detail page shows a lock icon. Non-authorized
viewers get a 404 on the detail page.
Add Microwaveprop.Format.distance_km/1 and a matching formatDistanceKm
helper for the JS side. Both emit "X mi (Y km)" with one decimal under
10 mi and whole numbers above.
Replace the ad-hoc format_dist/format_km_mi helpers with the shared
formatter and update every user-facing distance render: contact
detail, contacts index column, user profile contact/involving tables,
path finder summary + sounding list, contacts map line popups, beacon
coverage tooltip, and propagation map range estimate + rain scatter
cell popup.
- Compat CSS layer (assets/css/live_table_compat.css) maps the
shadcn tokens live_table/sutra_ui use (bg-muted, text-foreground,
border-border, bg-background, select-trigger, input-group, etc.)
onto daisyUI base colors, and provides hand-written component CSS
for select/dropdown/input-group/empty so the table has a proper
surface + a select popover that actually hides when closed.
- Default-sort the Contacts table by most recent inserted_at.
- Beacon detail "Plot path" now encodes lat/lon to an 8-char
Maidenhead grid when coordinates are known, so the destination
handed to the path calculator is more precise than the beacon's
stored 4-char grid.
- Rename BackfillLive -> StatusLive, move route from /admin/backfill
to /status, retitle "Backfill Dashboard" -> "Status", drop the
enqueue form (LiveStash + BackfillEnqueueWorker no longer needed
on this page). Contact edit admin back-link now points at /status.
Replaces the hand-rolled sort/search/pagination on /contacts with
LiveTable.LiveResource. Sortable columns for station1/2, grid1/2,
band, mode, distance_km, qso_timestamp, and inserted_at; searchable
across both stations, both grids, and mode. Custom renderers preserve
the enrichment summary badge (with per-status tooltip), the invalid
flag column, and the qso/inserted_at formatters.
The reciprocal-grouping block has been dropped per the brainstorming
decision — every QSO now shows as its own row, which avoids fighting
live_table's one-row-per-record model. A "View" action links to the
detail page instead of the previous row-click handler (live_table's
stream dom_ids are random UUIDs so row-click by record id is no
longer practical without forking the library).
Test updates:
- sort test switched to ?sort_params[station1]=asc (live_table URL
format; the old ?sort_by/?sort_order params are gone)
- pair-search test removed since live_table does a single ILIKE
across searchable fields and no longer supports the two-callsign
intersection that Radio.list_contacts/1 used to do; single-term
search is exercised instead
- pagination test asserts the presence of "Page" (live_table's
pagination text is "Page N" without the total count)
Also converts the stray cond-with-single-clause in
UserManagementLive.Index's delete handler to if/else (credo fix).
Profile page:
* New MicrowavepropWeb.UserProfileLive at /u/:callsign is a public
page showing a user's contacts and beacons. Resolves case-
insensitively so /u/w5isp and /u/W5ISP are the same thing; unknown
callsigns redirect to /. Uses daisyUI card / stats / table
components with an avatar-placeholder initial and hero icons.
* Accounts.get_user_by_callsign/1 (case-insensitive) plus
Radio.list_contacts_for_user/1 and Beacons.list_beacons_for_user/1
back the page. Beacons list includes both approved and pending so
owners see their drafts.
* The top nav bar and the three LiveView sidebars (MapLive,
WeatherMapLive, ContactMapLive) now render the logged-in callsign
as a navigate link to /u/:callsign instead of a static label.
* Nine new tests cover the lookup, the LiveView render, and the
ownership-scoped queries.
Flexible band input:
* New Microwaveprop.Radio.BandResolver module converts any of:
ADIF wavelength labels ("33cm", "1.25cm", "6mm", case/whitespace
insensitive), numeric frequency strings ("903.100", "10368.000"),
and canonical MHz integers into the one of the site's known bands.
Returns the nearest allowed band for numeric inputs >= 900 MHz,
nil otherwise.
* 902 MHz is added to Contact.@allowed_bands, ContactEdit.@allowed_bands,
AdifImport.@allowed_bands, and the BandResolver list so "33cm"
round-trips end-to-end.
* AdifImport and CsvImport now delegate band resolution to
BandResolver, and Radio.create_contact/2 normalizes the :band attr
on the way in so the manual form and any API callers benefit too.
CsvImport's "invalid band" tests previously used 99999 MHz which
the new resolver snaps to the nearest allowed band; swapped to
"notaband" which is truly unresolvable.
Contacts and beacons list UX:
* Remove the "Submitted" column from /contacts — it duplicated info
already visible on the detail page and was pushing the real
columns off narrow viewports. submitted_cell/1 and its three
column-specific tests go with it.
* Hide the Lat / Lon columns from /beacons — six decimal places of
coordinates weren't useful next to the grid square and took a
disproportionate amount of row width.
When a contact is linked to a logged-in user account, display that
user's callsign in the Submitted column instead of a generic "Yes".
Anonymous submissions still show "Yes"; scraped contacts show an em
dash.
- Register/Log in (or callsign/Settings/Log out) now live next to
the Map/Path/Rover links in the main header instead of a separate
top menu bar
- Add on_mount in UserAuth to assign current_scope on LiveView mount,
and pass current_scope through to Layouts.app from every LiveView
- Drop the old top <ul> from root.html.heex
- Password minimum lowered from 12 to 8 characters
- Leaflet map on contact detail pages showing both station locations
- SRTM elevation profile with Chart.js: terrain, LOS, Fresnel zone
- Path info: distance, azimuth, elevation angle in both directions
- Compact 4-column grid layout for contact details
- Contact map page with all contacts plotted
- Rename QSOs to Contacts in page header
- Wrap algo page in standard layout
- All menus and UI text now say Contacts instead of QSOs
- Add 68, 122, 134, 241 GHz bands to submit form and validation
- Add info box on submit page explaining why contacts matter
- Larger submit button with icon
- Make HRRR partition migration idempotent for partial re-runs
Rename all modules, functions, variables, routes, and UI text from
qso/qsos to contact/contacts. Database table stays as "qsos" to avoid
migration. Add /qsos -> /contacts redirects for old URLs.
